Community Events & Information
Peninsular Technologies supports several community events and charities in the West Michigan area.
CHARITY WORK
Our Conversion Services Department offers special product packages and gift certificates for auctions and other charitable events. Past recipients include local sports clubs, the YMCA, and the Grand Rapids Public Schools.
E-WASTE RECYCLING
As a software and computer hardware development company, Peninsular Technologies believes in the responsible disposal of electronic waste products. On May 15th 2009, we hosted a free e-waste recycling event for Ada-based businesses. Over a three hour period, CompRenew Environmental collected more than 1,600 pounds of e-waste. We salute CompRenew's dedication to preserving our planet's ecosystem and hope to sponsor more events such as this in the future.
THE NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY
Peninsular Technologies has donated to the Michigan Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for several years now; in May of 2009, the company increased its involvement by sponsoring its own golf teams to raise money for the MS Society. Our golfers this year are...
Our golf event takes place at the beautiful Centennial Country Club in Grand Rapids, MI. Our teams took to the fairway in May and will return again in September to raise a total of $3,000; help us meet this goal by making a tax-deductible donation! We accept pledges in the form of checks made out to "National MS Society - Michigan Chapter", cash (please do not send cash in the mail!), and online credit card transactions. Click on the names of our golfers above for online donations, or please visit our Location page for our address to send a physical payment. In the meantime, please feel free to check out photos of the event at TeamN3kk1d.Com.
ADA TOWNSHIP SOFTBALL
Peninsular Technologies is the proud sponsor of its own employee-based co-ed softball team through the Ada Township Parks & Recreation program. The team won a Consolation 3rd Place award in its league in 2008 and is up against some stiff competition against Forest Hills Foods and the St. Matthews Monsters in 2009. Good luck!
GARDEN PROJECT
Ada sees a lot of green here in the spring and summer, and we hope to add just a little bit more. In the Spring of 2009, one of our staff members constructed an 8 x 8 foot garden planter for flowers and vegetables. The fresh vegetables were a big hit! We look forward to its evolution in years to come.
