PipeTech® Products
PipeTech® products have a wide range of users, from Engineers to QA Specialists, Video Technicians and GIS Analysts. PipeTech® integrates with many popular municipal management database applications and was the first software to be certified by the National Association of Sewer Service Companies for its adoption of the PACP Pipeline Assessment standards. Operators certified by the PACP program can use our software to export to the national standard format for use by any end user.
PipeTech® Scan
PipeTech® Scan is the on-site solution for video recording and incident reporting. Scan captures and compresses video in real time and facilitates the recording of incident locations. Incidents are entered on an electronic log sheet and are automatically cross-referenced with their occurrences in the video.
PipeTech® Scan is offers the ability to create customized customer formats. Pipe segment information fields, observation condition codes, and observation condition descriptions can all be defined by the customer. PipeTech® Scan supports an unlimited number of customer formats.
PipeTech® Scan is capable of generating customized, full color, inspection reports. These reports are designed directly from customer input. Customizable features include the ability to include observation snapshots, adjust snapshot size, and color code observation categories. PipeTech® Check
PipeTech® Check is the quality control solution used to verify the accuracy of field data. From this application, log sheets are reviewed and edited as necessary, and any attachments, such as drawings and maps, are electronically associated with the project.
Once project review is complete, the entire project can be transferred to digital media (CD/DVD), which have a predicted 100 year life versus the 8 to 12 year life of a VHS tape. With the entire project saved on a digital media source, log sheets, attachments, and videos are easy to retrieve.
PipeTech® Check is capable of generating customized, full color, inspection reports. These reports are designed directly from customer input. Customizable features include the ability to include observation snapshots, adjust snapshot size, and color code observation categories. PipeTech® View
PipeTech® View is used to analyze all information collected for a sewer inspection project and is a key tool for establishing rehabilitation recommendations. All video and attachments can be viewed from this application, and attachments, data, and reports can be printed for further review and auditing.
PipeTech® View is capable of generating customized, full color, inspection reports. These reports are designed directly from customer input. PipeTech® View Light
Although View Light does not include every feature that comes with View, it does contain a wide range of features that will help you get oriented with the product.
View Light contains the following features:
- Open a single inspection file from CD, DVD, Hard Disk, or Network Path.
- View inclinometer graph
- Switch between mainline, manhole or lateral inspections
- View header data for the inspection
- Playback video at 1x and 2x speed
- View relative position of camera on schematic pipeline, with incidents marked

PipeTech® has many report templates to choose from. These report templates can be customized. If desired, PipeTech® reports can be designed to look like a customer's existing report styles.
System Requirements
The PipeTech® Suite utilizes streaming digital video and tends to be fairly memory-intensive. It is possible to run PipeTech® on an existing machine, or our Support Department can build a new PC specifically tailored to meet your needs. To sucessfully run PipeTech®, we recommend the following attributes to your machine:
- Intel Core i3 processor at least 3.0GHz
- 4GB RAM
- 120GB hard drive space and 320GB hard drive space for recording with Scan
- Windows 7 Professional
- KWorld USB Preview Device
- DVD Read/Write Drive
- USB 2.0 and/or FireWire (IEEE1394) ports
- Rackmount case for use in the field
